MPC Services/Drainstore has completed the refurbishment and upgrade of Boston Mayflowers entire stock of sewage treatment systems and pumping stations. In a unique experiment, the Housing Association and the Service Company signed a pre-negotiated £300,000, 6 year contract to upgrade their sewage systems. This included an assessment of each of the forty sites. Each site was then refurbished, replacing all or part of the internals of the sewage plants. The pumping stations had their pumps, pipework and controls replaced. Each site was then equipped with a telemetry monitoring system which was developed and built by our specialist panel division. This system works on a pay as you go mobile phone system alleviating expensive land line rental charges. Each partner in the contract then benefits. The Housing Association by the upgrading of the ageing systems as the telemetry system removes any of the environmental issues caused by faulty equipment. The contractor benefits by reaping the rewards of the monitoring system which enables him to manage the systems. This prevents the necessity for paying excessive clean up charges. We are now making available this business model to a range of clients from privately owned individuals and groups of houses, to hotels, leisure complexes, holiday parks factories and businesses.
