Refurbish It
All sewage systems require maintenance. Those that are not maintained soon require repairs. Even those that are well maintained eventually wear out. Years of maintaining all types of waste water solutions ensures that we are able to evaluate existing poorly performing units. We are then in a position to consider whether full replacement of the current system is required, or if for a fraction of the cost it can be refurbished.
Filterbeds for example, can work effectively when well maintained, especially where the discharge standard has a descriptive consent. However, difficulty usually occurs insourcing spare parts.
If refurbishment is required and filter media needs renewing, Drainstore has a Specialist Engineering Division that can rebuild and refurbish almost any component to keep plants operational. A recent project involved converting an existing unit into a fully automatic system with the aid of electric motors and gearboxes. We are also able to use pumps to create a diffused liquor filterbed system. Our work encompasses all types of waste water systems, so if you have a Biodisc that needs a new shaft, we can engineer a replacement part. If your sewage plant keeps breaking belts and chains, we can build a permanent solution. If your sewage plant cannot meet its discharge consent, we can usually help.
