Function
Hya-Solo E
1. Upon opening of a consumer installation, the pump is started up depending on the pressure.
2. Upon closing of the consumer installation, the pump is switched off depending on the flow following expiry of the after-run time set at the factory.
3. If there is lack of water, the automatic control unit switches the pump off (integrated dry-running protection).
Hya-Solo D
Automatic operation
The pump is started up and switched off depending on the pressure via a fully automatic control unit. If the pressure drops below the set start-up pressure pE
, the pump is started up by the pressure switch.
As the demand decreases, the pump is switched off depending on the pressure following expiry of the set after-run time (up to 30 seconds).
The unit can be started up and switched off independently of the pressure switch via remote ON/OFF (for example by means of a switch fitted in the hydrant/fire plug for fire-fighting systems).
Manual operation
The switchgear is equipped with a manual-0-automatic selector switch. In case of manual operation the pump is connected to the mains independently of the automatic function (pressure switch or remote ON/OFF).
Hya-Solo DV
The pump is started up if the pressure drops below the set pressure value.
The actual value is measured via a pressure transmitter. The frequency inverter and the PI controller keep the pressure constant.
As the demand decreases, the PI controller reduces the pump speed until minimum speed is reached and then switches the pump off.
Lack-of-water Monitoring (Dry-running Protection)
This function is active in automatic and manual mode. We offer various lack-of-water monitoring systems (see supplementary equipment / accessories)
Inlet pressure > 0.5 bar with pressure switch for inlet pressure monitoring; adjustable from 0.5 to 10 bar.
Inlet pressure < 0.5 bar without monitoring.
Various options matched to the system requirements (float switch, flow sensor etc.)
