About Us

Drainstore and its parent company MPC Services (UK) Limited is run from its Midlands headquarters in Heanor, Derbyshire. The business was formed 12 years ago after recognising a niche in the market place for an environmentally responsible installation service for waste water and sewage systems for customers not benefiting from having access to mains sewers. The business installs septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, cesspools and pumping stations, and obtained accreditation as Certified Installer from the recognised market leader Klargester in 1998. The link with Klargester remains today.

We offer a maintenance, service and emergency call-out package to ensure sewage systems are serviced regularly, and this enables us to rectify problems when they occur. Our customers include the National Trust, Local Councils, Housing Associations, Crown Estates and many private individuals. Recently we recognised that our customers wished us to provide a fully engineered solution service which now allows them to have a complete end-to-end service from one independent company.

An example of our expertise in the engineered solution field can be seen at Hoar Cross Hall. The project utilised the expertise of our in-house design specialists together with input from the German manufacturers. This resulted in a tailor-made solution being designed and completed, with the plant being the largest of its kind in the UK, and one of the largest in the world.

We have also assisted the National Trust at Kedleston Hall in solving their sewage treatment issues by building an environmentally friendly telemetry and monitoring system specifically for their needs, and strengthened our links with the NHBC, who now not only use us in an advisory capacity, but also employ us as a preferred installer.

Two years ago we took the decision that the building we were housed in needed upgrading in order to house all functions within the business, the support staff and to provide better workshop facilities. Completion was seen in 2005.

We also invested in a bespoke computer system to coordinate the database of customers and daily activities, and upgraded our telephony system to be able to cope with the increased call traffic. The new offices also house our unique telemetry monitoring system which has been built to allow malfunctions on treatment plants to be reported to us direct, 24 hours a day ensuring an early response to any faults.

We also recognised that many of our customers not only needed the supply of the sewage systems, but also the peripherals such as pipes, connectors, and any other underground requirements, and this has developed into the new internet side of the business, where all products can be bought online. We are now recognised as one of the top 10 companies supplying KSB pumps in the country.

Whatever your requirements in the waste water and sewage treatment industry, Drainstore does it all.
